Detox Foot Pads – Do They Work
|
The claimed benefit of using detox pads are: If used on a regular basis they help to prevent the accumulation of toxins in the body, thus substantially reducing the chances of illness and disease. |
Remember when your parents warned you about something sounding too good to be true? This warning may apply when it comes to foot detox pads. Detox foot pads are the latest health craze. Manufacturers claim that when applied to your feet at night, these pads will draw the toxins out of body while you sleep. In the morning the pads will usually be discolored, supposedly a sign they have worked properly. While these pads may have some detoxifying action – on the soles of your feet at least – be wary of the product. It most likly does not give you as good a detox as you think.
To begin with, think seriously about the way the product promises to work. Backers say the product will draw all toxins, even heavy metal deposits, out through your skin. Even though the skin does allow some nutrients and other substances to pass back and forth through the pores it’s hard to fathom anything as dense as heavy metal particles could be drawn through the skin. In most modern medicine it is thought that the only way these toxins can be cleared from your body is by taking an internal chelator that will cling to the metal partials and allow them to be flushed out of the body.
Manufacturers claim these foot detox pads are formulated using ancient Japanese and Asian cultural medicine. The detox foot pads usually contain a combination of ingredients including Tourmaline, a stone or mineral that emits negative ions; bamboo vinegar, to help aid the body in releasing waste products through the skin; and wood vinegar, popular for its drawing actions. The foot pads supposedly work on the basis of reflexology. Reflexology holds to the belief that there are zones in the feet that correspond to each organ system in the body. It indicates the wastes from these organ systems will accumulate in the feet where they can be drawn out through the skin by the detox foot pads.
The color change that most people believe is an indication that the foot detox pads are working could just be from the the wood vinegar. Vinegar is generally dried and ground before being mixed in with the other ingredients that goes into the patch. As dried vinegar comes back in contact with water, through your moist feet, it returns to its liquid version which is a dark colored liquid. Sweat from your feet mixed with the herbs in the patch probably accounts for the bad odor that comes from the pad after it is taken off.
Do detox foot pads work? People say they have seen a difference when using them, but if you want to clear internal waste through the pores of your skin you may want to try a steam bath or sauna. As a way of ridding yourself of solid waste that can’t be passed through your skins pores the most productive way is a very complete diet that can cleanse your body in just a few days.
If you really want to clean out your body for and get serious internal cleansing you’re going to need more than detox foot pads because at very best you might be able to extract a tiny amount of waste.

I would like to leave a comment about feet sweating and that being the cause of the pads turning dark.
I have been using and selling the foot pads for over 3 1/2 years.
The pads WORK. I am not saying that because I run a company that sells them, because that is just my side “hobby” that I do because I am passionate about helping people feel better. I have gotten the pads tested for some customers, I have gotten to the point where my pads come clean in the morning — if the reaction was to sweat, then they would be dark every morning ALL the time. That is not the case. It does take months for some people to reach that stage, however it eventually will happen.
It is very interesting to get the pads tested as well… you can send an un-used, un-opened pad along with a used one, (for control purposes) and then you can see what is coming out of you. This is an eye opener for some people, they actually are seeing for themselves the toxins that are in their body and then finally understanding what is causing them to be sick.
You do want to be sure you get foot pads without fillers, and that are audited for quality assurance. If a company won’t tell you their ingredients or the percentages especially, then be wary of them!
I wish everyone good health, and these foot pads do work
Have a great day!
